The Respiratory Therapy Department is staffed by Respiratory Therapists, who are licensed with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.

Respiratory Therapists are a vital part of our hospital and patient care team.  They work under the direction of a physician and assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders.

Our Respiratory Therapy team covers the entire health system by providing a wide array of services throughout the hospital and clinic.

Inpatient Services

• Aerosol treatments and inhaler administration
• Airway clearance and lung expansion therapy
• Arterial blood gas sampling
• Noninvasive and invasive ventilation
• Overnight pulse oximetry
• Patient education
• Low and high flow oxygen therapy

Outpatient Services

• Complete pulmonary function tests
• Cardiac stress tests
• Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Overnight pulse oximetry
• Holter monitoring
